The Bidhannagar College, Kolkata has two major streams - Science and Humanities with only Honours and General as subsidiary subjects. The science stream includes - Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics, Micro-biology, Botany and Zoology. Humanity stream includes - Bengali, English, Philosophy, Political Science, History, Education(2009). Other subjects taught includes Anthropology(2009) and Economics. Each department has substantial infra-structure for teaching and evaluation, seminar library, laboratory, computer lab. etc... Two post-graduate departments are successfully running with glamour are Zoology and Micro-biology.
