• Some of the teachers are actively engaged in Research works. During the previous five years one major research project funded by the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India has been successfully completed in the Physics Department of the College in collaboration with the Indian Association for Cultivation of Science, Kolkata. The Scholar worked in the project has also been awarded the Ph.D. degree.

• Another Major Research Project has been sanctioned by the same funding agency which has been implemented during 2003-2004.

• One of the teachers in Zoology Department has registered for the Ph.D. degree who is working in a project funded by West Bengal Department of Science & Technology under the guidance of the Principal.
